I’ve had Bells Palsy twice and never got any treatment at all. First time my Doctor asked me had I been sitting in a draught. I knew what it was. Why didn’t the doctor? I even went to hospital the second time. Have had it on both sides of my face.
I was going on holiday 3 days after I took it the second time and was in a lot of pain. All they told me to do was take Ibuprofen. So had to go all the way to USA and suffer for 4 weeks. It got better after 3-4 months, same as first time.
I wouldn’t wish it on anyone as so painful and uncomfortable, but it’s not life threatning. Hope the guy is doing well as I know 2 women who have never recovered from it and their faces are still paralysed. By the way, the doctor says it’s caused either by a virus or stress. I’d say virus as wasn’t I stressed at the time.
